What's new at MotionVid

Cleaner template pages with live previews#

Finding the right template is quicker now. Hover any template to watch it play, see the whole animation up front, and start editing in one click.

• —Hover a template in any category to see it in motion before you open it
• —Each template page puts the preview and Use this template side by side, no scrolling needed
• —Vertical templates show at their real shape, so you see exactly what you get for Reels and TikTok
• —Jump between charts, logos, maps and more from one category list

Sketch your idea, and the AI follows it#

Some ideas are faster to draw than to describe. Open Drawing from the + menu, sketch a layout, storyboard or diagram, and attach it to your prompt so the AI builds from exactly what you mean.

• —Draw freehand, add shapes, arrows and text labels in seconds
• —Drop in a screenshot and mark it up to point at what you want
• —Tap an attached drawing to tweak it before you send

A sharper AI that makes your credits go further#

We gave the AI a cleaner, tighter playbook. It follows what you ask more consistently, and every chat message now uses fewer credits.

• —Chat messages cost fewer credits, so your plan stretches to more edits
• —More consistent results, because the AI now has one clear rule for each kind of request
• —When you edit your own video, your footage stays as it is and only gets cut when you ask

Templates land right where you are#

Adding a template to your video now puts it where you’re working instead of at the end. It slots in right after the scene you’re on, and everything after it moves along to make room.

• —Drag a template onto the timeline and it drops in at the nearest scene edge
• —Your narration, captions and overlays stay with the scenes they belong to
• —Logo stings and lower thirds go on a layer above your video, so your footage shows through

Try MotionVid free from ChatGPT#

Your first video is on us when you connect MotionVid in ChatGPT, and connecting is now quicker and friendlier.

• —A fresh connect screen that shows real examples and exactly what the connection can do
• —Sign in with Google or a one-tap email link, then land straight back in your chat
• —Verify your email right from the connect screen

48 new motion graphics templates#

The template gallery just got 48 fresh graphics, from product mockups to bold kinetic type. Pick one, swap in your words, colors and photos, and it looks right in both wide and vertical formats.

• —Product moments: Terminal Typing, AI Prompt Box, Code to Logo, Add to Cart
• —Social favorites: Now Playing Music Card, Profile Stats Card, Heart Like Burst, Vlog Day Counter
• —Bold type: Neon Sign, Glitch Text, Gravity Quote, Split-Flap Departure Board
• —Graphics that come alive: Audio Visualizer moves to your music, and Weather Forecast Card turns morning into night

Meet Miltos 6 Fast, our new default model#

Miltos 6 Fast builds your videos faster and for fewer credits than Miltos 6, with the full toolkit: narration, music, sound effects and AI footage. New videos on monthly and yearly plans now start on it.

• —Launch pricing takes 30% off its AI tokens, just like Miltos 6
• —Want our most capable model? Pick Miltos 6 in the model menu and new videos start there
• —Existing projects keep the model they were made with
• —In the API and MCP as miltos-6-fast, now the default

Animate any image in one click#

Every image you make now has an Animate button. One click opens the video maker with your whole image as the first frame, and the video takes on its shape, so a portrait image stays portrait.

• —Find Animate on every finished image and in its full-size view
• —Vertical, square or wide: the video matches your image automatically
• —Start & End videos follow the shape of the frames you add, too

MotionVid is now in ChatGPT#

Make videos without leaving ChatGPT. Add MotionVid from the ChatGPT plugin directory, sign in once, then type @Motionvid in any chat and describe the video you want.

• —Scenes, narration and music, written, animated and put together for you
• —See a frame from every scene before it renders
• —Ask for changes to a finished video without starting over
• —Your brand kits and styles come with you

New videos now start on Miltos 6#

New videos now start on Miltos 6, our most capable model, so your first draft gets our strongest motion design and storytelling. Prefer Miltos 5? Pick it in the model menu and we’ll remember your choice.

• —Your choice sticks: pick Miltos 5 once and new videos start there
• —Existing projects keep the model they were made with
• —The API and MCP now default to miltos-6 too

Miltos 6: our most capable model yet#

Miltos 6 is a new top tier for complex, story-driven videos: richer motion design, stronger storytelling, and more careful edits. Launch pricing takes 30% off its AI tokens.

• —Pick it from the model menu on any new or existing project
• —Every scene, edit and plan gets the full model, no downgrades mid-build
• —30% off AI tokens at launch, shown right on the model picker
• —Available through the API and MCP as miltos-6

Images you send through the API stay with your project#

Photos and logos you attach through the API or MCP, including Google Drive links, are now saved into your project the moment your request arrives. They are always there when you export, and a link we can’t open is flagged right away so you can fix it before anything is built.

• —Attach images from anywhere, including Google Drive download links
• —A private or broken link is caught up front, with the exact file named
• —Full-resolution photos up to 25MB (PNG, JPEG, WebP or SVG)

Captions for narrated videos#

Ask for captions on any video with a voiceover and you get word-by-word animated captions, whether the scene is fully animated or a silent clip you narrated over.

• —Works on animated scenes and on footage you added a voiceover to
• —Change the voice or reword a line and the captions update to match
• —Trim, cut or remove a scene and its captions follow along

The same character in every video#

Save a character once and it shows up as the same person in everything you make, not just from scene to scene. Describe one, upload artwork you already have, or turn a photo into an avatar, drawn in one of our video styles.

• —Three ways to make one: describe it, upload your own artwork, or turn a photo into an avatar
• —Draw it in our video styles, from claymation and cartoon to 3D and watercolor
• —Use it in a video with a different style and it is redrawn to match, still clearly the same character
• —Works whether your video is filmed with AI Video or animated

A better editor on your phone#

The mobile editor now shows which project you’re in, and sharing or exporting it takes one tap instead of a trip through a menu.

• —Your project name sits in the top bar, and tapping it renames the project
• —Share and Export is one tap from the bar, and opens as a full sheet that’s easy to use one-handed
• —A render in progress stays visible while it runs

Any voice, in any of our 74 languages#

Picking a narration language no longer narrows the voice list. Every voice in the library is available for every language we support, and the one you choose is the one your video is narrated with.

• —The full voice library stays open whatever language you pick
• —Voices who natively speak your language are listed first
• —A clear note when a language has no native speaker yet, so you know how it will sound

Big projects open smoothly in Safari#

Long videos with lots of narration and sound effects used to bog Safari down while the timeline loaded. The editor now opens and stays responsive on Mac and iPhone, however many audio clips your project carries.

Playback now works on iPhone and iPad#

Hit play on your phone and the preview runs start to finish, music and narration included, so you can check an edit from your iPhone or iPad instead of waiting until you are back at a desk.

Cursor demos that land on the button#

When your video walks through a product, the cursor now travels to the exact button or field it is using, and the click or typing happens right where it is pointing.

• —The pointer lands on the control it operates, not somewhere near it
• —Typed text appears in the field the cursor is actually sitting on
• —Videos are checked for a cursor that missed its mark before you see them

Ask the AI to save your video, get one button#

Ask in chat how to save, download or export your video and an Export button appears right there in the conversation, one click from your finished file.

• —Ask however you like: save it, download it, can I get the file
• —The button opens your export options without leaving the chat
• —It also confirms your project is already saved as you work

Name a track, get the clean studio version#

Ask for a specific song and we now find the studio audio rather than a music video, so your narration isn’t competing with dialogue, footsteps and sound effects baked into the track.

• —The clean studio recording sits under your voiceover, nothing else
• —Better matches for songs that were never released as a separate audio version
• —Hour-long loops and remixes no longer slip in when you ask for a mood

Animated images keep their shape#

Animate a logo, product shot or any picture in chat and the video now automatically takes on the shape of your image, so a tall logo stays whole instead of losing its top and bottom to a widescreen crop.

• —Portrait, square and widescreen images each get a video that fits them, no cropping
• —Works everywhere you animate an image: single clips, multi scene builds and the API
• —Want a specific shape anyway? Just ask, and your choice always wins

Watch your video build, right inside Claude#

Ask Claude for a video and a live card appears in the conversation. It fills in with your scenes as they are made, then plays the finished video where you are already sitting, so you never have to ask "is it done yet" or go hunting for a link.

• —Your scenes appear in the card as they are built, so you can see it working
• —The finished video plays and downloads straight from the conversation
• —Approve or send notes on a storyboard with a button, instead of describing it back
• —Pick a look, a voice or a brand kit from cards you can actually see, palettes included

Cancel a render in progress#

Spotted the wrong quality or frame rate the moment you hit export? Stop the render in its first 10% and your video export goes straight back to your balance, so you can fix the setting and start again without it costing you anything.

• —Cancel from wherever you’re watching the render — the export panel or the render window
• —Your video export is refunded, so a mis-picked setting costs you nothing
• —Start the corrected render right away, instead of waiting out one you don’t want
• —Available for the first 10% of a render; after that it runs through to your finished video

A bigger canvas on every screen#

The editor now keeps your video the biggest thing on screen, however many tracks a project has. Tracks scroll in place instead of squeezing the preview into a corner, clips open at a size you can actually see and grab on a phone, and you can fold the timeline away entirely when you just want to watch.

• —Collapse the timeline to a slim playback bar and hand the whole screen to your video
• —Clips open at a readable size on a small screen instead of hair-thin slivers
• —The timeline stays where you put it while the video plays, instead of snapping back

Animate your logo line by line#

Upload your logo as an SVG and the AI now reads the real shapes inside the file. Ask for the lines to fly in and assemble, or for the outline to draw itself on, and it animates your actual mark rather than an approximation of it.

• —Your exact logo, animated piece by piece, with nothing traced or redrawn
• —Works straight from the file you upload, no copying code into the chat
• —Ideal for logo reveals, intros and outros

Smoother editing on your phone#

Long, video-heavy projects now play in the mobile editor instead of sitting on a loading spinner. The preview loads whatever you’re watching first and pulls the rest in quietly behind it, so playback starts sooner, keeps going, and uses far less of your mobile data along the way.

• —Previews play in projects packed with clips, not just short ones
• —Whatever is under the playhead loads first, so jumping to a new spot is quick
• —Uses much less mobile data — footage you never scrub to is no longer pulled down up front

Better sound effects#

Sound effects are used more sparingly and placed with more care, so your videos sound cleaner and the moments that matter land harder.

• —Effects go where they add to a moment, instead of landing on everything that moves
• —Chimes and alerts are used where something actually completes, while softer taps still follow elements as they land

A simpler way to start a video#

Starting a video is down to what matters, on the home page and in the editor alike: describe your video, pick a style, and go. Format, length, scene count and sound are worked out from what you wrote, and if something genuinely can not be inferred the AI asks you one quick question instead of guessing. Everything you used to set up front is still one tap away in the + menu.

• —Style is the star: pick a look right under the prompt, animated packs and AI footage side by side
• —Format, length, narration (with your choice of voice) and brand kit live in the + menu, each set to Auto until you pin it
• —One Files button for everything: PDFs and docs, a video to edit, an MP3 voiceover or a music track
• —Every setting you pin shows as a chip beside the prompt, so you always see what you chose

Make images that fit an A4 page#

If your images end up in documents, reports or handouts, you no longer have to resize and crop them onto the page. Pick A4 in the aspect ratio menu and the image comes out the exact shape of the page, ready to drop straight in.

• —A4 joins 1:1, 3:4, 4:3, 16:9 and 9:16 in the aspect ratio menu
• —True portrait A4 (210 x 297 mm), so nothing has to be scaled or trimmed to fit the page
• —Reference images you bring in are matched to the same page shape

Reuse scenes across your projects#

That intro you nailed last month, the outro you use everywhere, the one scene that finally landed: move them between projects instead of rebuilding them. Drag a scene straight in from another project, copy and paste it between tabs, or send it to a project from the right-click menu. Its clips and its narration come with it, timed to where it lands.

• —Every project in the Projects panel now opens to show its scenes, drag one onto your timeline and it lands where you drop it
• —Copy a scene with Cmd+C and paste it into any project with Cmd+V, even in another tab
• —Right-click a scene and choose Copy to project to send it to the end of another project, then open it in one click
• —Narration, sound effects and video clips travel with the scene, so nothing arrives silent or blank
• —One undo takes back the whole move, clips and narration included

The AI reviews the whole video before it hands it over#

Once every scene is in place, the AI lays the entire film out on one contact sheet and gives it an art director’s pass: empty or unfinished scenes, broken layouts, the same composition used twice, a jarring cut, a scene that drifts off your style. What it finds, it fixes before it tells you it is done, and you see the sheet it judged, right in the chat.

• —A whole-film check at the end of every build and every footage edit, not just scene by scene
• —Catches what a single-scene look cannot: repeated layouts, blank moments, rough transitions
• —The reviewed contact sheet appears in the chat, every frame numbered, so you can see exactly what it saw
• —Single-scene checks now show up as one stamped sheet too, quicker to scan and easier on your credits

See what the AI sees while it works#

The chat now shows its working. Frames of your footage as the AI checks them, rendered previews of a scene it has just written, the transcript of what it heard, and the sources behind any web search — all as it goes, so you can follow the reasoning instead of taking its word for it.

• —Real frames from your timeline, appearing under each step as the AI checks them
• —Rendered previews of a scene the moment the AI reviews it, long before any export
• —See what it heard in your footage, and the moments it picked out to build around
• —Web searches now show the publishers they read, so you can check the source
• —Scene reviews tell you what they found in plain language, not just how many issues

Grab the shortest clips in your timeline#

Short clips, like a quick line of narration or a brief cut, now select and drag just like longer ones, including shift-clicking them into a multi-selection. Narrow clips used to respond only to their trim edges.

• —Select, drag and multi-select even the briefest clips
• —Trim and fade controls shrink to fit a short clip instead of covering it
• —Works across every track: video, audio, text, images, captions and zooms

Make a video about this week’s news#

Ask for a video about something happening right now and MotionVid searches the web first, then writes the script from what it finds.

• —Ask for this week and get this week
• —Real headlines, real dates, real sources
• —Name a brand, no link needed

See what every edit costs, as it happens#

Every turn in the editor now carries its own credit counter, climbing while the AI works and settling on the final number when it lands. You can watch what an edit is costing while it runs, and stop it if it is going further than you wanted.

• —A running credit count on each turn, updating as the AI works
• —Keeps counting right through long clip generations, not just at the end
• —The final number stays on the turn, so you can scroll back and see what any edit cost

One-click MCP installs and a new developer home at /api#

Developers now have a proper front door at motionvid.ai/api. Pick your client and get its exact setup, then connect Cursor or VS Code with a single click and start generating videos from your agent or your own code.

• —Add MotionVid to Cursor or VS Code with one click, no config files
• —VS Code joins Claude, Claude Code and Cursor as a supported MCP client
• —A client picker on the landing page and /api shows the setup for your tool, not a generic one
• —Videos made through the API or MCP now carry a "Made with" badge in the Discover feed

Discover: an endless feed of what people are making#

A new full screen feed at /discover, one video per screen, starting with the latest projects people have published. Every clip shows the prompt behind it, so you can see exactly how it was made and pick up its style in a click.

• —Scroll straight through the newest work, then keep going into our own hand picked examples
• —See the prompt behind any video, then reuse its style in your next project with one tap
• —Share a link to any single clip and it opens right on that video

Add reference images in bulk#

Attaching references is no longer one image at a time. Pick as many files as you like in a single trip to the upload dialog, or tick several images you have already uploaded and add the whole set at once.

• —Select multiple files in one go instead of reopening the picker for each one
• —Tick images from your library and add them together with one click
• —Shift-click to grab a whole run of images at once
• —Works everywhere you attach references, for images and video

Text renders correctly in every language#

Accented and non-Latin letters now render in the font you picked, everywhere. Turkish, Polish, Czech, Romanian, Hungarian, Vietnamese, Greek and Cyrillic text stays in one consistent typeface across the editor and the finished video.

• —Characters like İ, Ğ, Ş, ł, ř and ó keep the same font as the rest of the word
• —Headlines, captions and text layers all covered
• —What you see in the editor is what lands in the export

Edit your videos from the API, just describe the change#

Finished videos are no longer final. Send a plain-language instruction ("swap the logo", "shorten the intro", "fix the map in scene 2") and the same AI editor behind the app applies it to your existing video, keeping everything that was already right. Works from the REST API and from AI assistants like Claude connected through MCP.

• —One instruction changes only what you name, the rest of the video stays untouched
• —Edits cost a fraction of a rebuild, billed only for what actually gets regenerated
• —Attach images to an edit with a role: put them in the video, or use them as style inspiration only
• —New render tool turns any finished video into a fresh MP4 on demand, at any size

Map scenes look right in every video shape#

Maps with city pins now match your video exactly, whether it is landscape, portrait, or square. Coastlines keep their true proportions and every pin lands precisely on its city, in any format you publish.

Smoother playback in the editor#

Zoom and pan effects now play back fluidly in the editor preview. Effects ramp in and out without interrupting playback, so what you scrub is what you ship.

• —Zoom effects glide in and out with no stutters or pauses
• —Playback stays responsive while the AI is still working on your video
• —Dragging a zoom focus point updates the canvas in real time

Your characters stay the same, scene after scene#

AI Video now casts your story before it films it. You see a portrait of every character and approve the look before a single clip is made, and those same faces carry through the whole video. Films also run up to two minutes now, with every shot directed like real camera work.

• —Approve your cast up front: one portrait per character, restyle or reprompt anyone before generation starts
• —The same faces, outfits, and styling hold from the first scene to the last
• —AI Video films now run up to two minutes, paced across every scene
• —Drop in a reference video and pick what to borrow from it: its look, or its script

Pick how you create: four new starting modes#

The composer now opens with four clear ways to start: AI Video, Motion Graphics, Single Graphic, and Edit My Video. Each mode shows its own animation styles and sets everything up for you, so you get the right kind of video without touching a single setting.

• —AI Video builds your entire video from cinematic AI footage in a style you pick
• —Storyboard first on AI Video: approve a still image for every scene, and reprompt or restyle any frame, before a single clip is generated
• —Matching animation styles appear right under each mode, with one tap to browse them all
• —Edit My Video takes your own footage and lets the AI add graphics and polish on top

More reliable animation for realistic characters#

Photo-real, lifelike characters now animate more dependably on Animora Pro. We automatically route these portraits to the best engine behind the scenes, so more of your image-to-video generations finish on the first try.

• —Lifelike, true-to-life character portraits animate more reliably
• —Automatic behind-the-scenes handling means fewer interrupted generations

Bring Your Own Key (BYOK)#

Connect your own provider accounts and route eligible generations through them. Add and manage keys straight from your account menu.

• —Add keys for Gemini, OpenAI, ElevenLabs, and xAI
• —Eligible generations are billed to your provider, not your MotionVid credits
• —API Keys now live in the account dropdown for plans that support it

Public API + MCP server#

Build MotionVid into your own apps. A new API lets your tools create and track videos, and AI assistants like Claude can now make videos for you directly.

• —Create videos straight from your own apps and tools
• —Connect AI assistants like Claude so they can generate videos for you
• —Simple, secure sign-in with your own keys

Add your own text, plus a cleaner start screen#

Add text that appears exactly when you want it in a video, and start new projects from a simpler, more focused screen.

• —Place your own text and control when it appears and disappears
• —A cleaner, faster way to start a project

Snappier previews + better help before you cancel#

Uploaded videos now start playing almost instantly, and the cancellation flow offers real help and credits instead of a dead end.

• —Uploaded videos preview right away instead of making you wait
• —One-click credits and support options if you go to cancel

The AI now adds all your overlays, not just a few#

When editing an uploaded video, the AI sometimes stopped after placing just two or three graphics. It now adds overlays throughout, wherever they belong, like stats, quotes, intros, and chapters.

Edit your own footage with AI motion graphics#

Upload a video and layer AI-generated motion graphics, overlays, and cuts directly over your real footage, all built right into the editor.

• —Upload footage and drive edits through chat
• —Overlay animated graphics and cut clips on a real timeline
• —Precise cuts that automatically keep your graphics and captions in sync

Unlimited exports, upscales & bonus credits#

Higher plans now come with unlimited exports, upscales, and background removals, plus bonus credits when you pay yearly, so you can create as much as you want without watching your balance.

• —Unlimited exports and background removals on Pro and up
• —Unlimited upscales on Ultimate
• —15% bonus credits on yearly plans

Audio-only clips, video fit controls & Swedish#

Drop in audio-only assets, control how videos fit their frame, and use the app in Swedish.

• —Add music or voiceover on its own, without needing a video
• —Choose how a clip fits its frame (fill or fit) without unexpected cropping
• —Swedish language support

Music now covers your whole video#

The AI soundtrack could stop a few seconds before the last scene. It now always stretches to cover the full length of your video.

Bespoke AI music + talking-head clips#

Every project can score itself with a custom AI soundtrack, talking-head clips keep their voice, and videos featuring real people are handled with extra care.

• —A custom AI soundtrack, chosen to match your video and sized to fit
• —Talking-head clips keep their spoken audio
• —Videos featuring real faces use a model tuned to keep them looking right

Animora 2.0 showcase + drag media into the timeline#

A refreshed landing showcase for Animora 2.0, and you can now drag videos and images straight into the timeline, even an empty one.

• —Drag your videos and images straight onto the timeline
• —Hover a project to preview it with sound
• —Smoother video playback on mobile and more reliable sign-in

Multi-image references + clearer credit meters#

Reuse a whole set of reference images across remixes, and usage meters now show what you have left rather than what you’ve used.

• —Reuse multiple reference images when remixing a video
• —Credits shown as your remaining balance across the app
• —A more polished experience on mobile

Manage your subscription + smarter remixes#

Manage your subscription, pricing, and cancellation in one place, and remixes now better understand what you want to change.

• —Full subscription management and pricing page
• —Smarter remixes that understand what you’re asking for
• —Your latest render is right there in the Share / Export menu

Higher-quality video + 4K upscale#

A new engine behind our Animora videos for higher-quality generation, with 4K upscaling for your finished clips.

• —A new engine for higher-quality video generation
• —4K upscale for exported videos

The editor now opens instantly, and you can upload your own images and videos into a media library to drop straight into projects.

• —The editor opens right away, with no loading wait
• —Upload and reuse your own images and videos

Animated maps with editable pins#

Create animated maps with pins and connecting lines you can edit, great for showing locations, routes, and coverage areas.

• —Place and move your own pins
• —Connecting lines that animate between points
• —Colored, animated regions and states

Swap images, re-speed by dragging & one-click background removal#

Swap a scene’s image, drag a scene edge to change its speed instead of trimming, and remove backgrounds right from scene settings.

• —Swap scene images without regenerating
• —Drag a scene edge to re-speed rather than cut
• —Remove background and download straight from image settings

Better-looking results, automatically#

We improved how each video is generated behind the scenes, so your results come out looking better with less trial and error.
